HFL Talk Button question
Just got this car last week, Tried & tried to get some response from the Talk button. No luck. I figured the module in the roof was bad after reading on here.
I was sitting in the car at lunch today with the ignition switch in Assc I position listening to the radio. The steering wheel was rotated about 1/3 of the way around to the left. Parking brake was on. I accidently hit the Talk button and it responded.
I went into the phone setup and it worked, but wouldn't find my phone. Had to go back to work and started thinking maybe I should have cleared any old phone stuff out first. Went back later and tried everything every which way and was again unable to get any response from the Talk button-nothing.
Could this be a steering wheel/clock spring contact problem like the on the 2nd Gens? Or am I missing some thing, or just not holding my mouth right?
Thanks

nope it could be your HFL is on the way out. The new unit cost you about $228 from Acura/Honda.

Nope. One will move you forward though the menus and the other backward. Same as one is for answering a call and the other is for hanging up.

The buttons on the rear of the wheel, activated by pulling on them with your fingers, are for the voice commands for the audio system, clock and climate control.
