HFL missing code
 

Hi guys,

I bought a used 05 non navi tl, I ask the last owner if he can provide me his code... He said that he doesnt remember... I try 1-2-3-4 and other basic code, still not working...I unplugged the battery and replug it, notting change. I called the dealer, and he said that you must change the unit 700$... Is there any other way to reset the old code?

Doubt this will work but have you tried saying "System" followed by "Clear?" I would try a different dealer as I'm sure it can be reset using the HDS. I bought my TL-S used the the prior owner had a password on the Navigation address book. My dealer cleared the password for nothing.

System and clear doesn't work, I'll try other dealers

Found it,

I went to the dealer here in Montreal, and they reset all codes... and here we go, HFL is working... 37$ CAN

Ask around because some worker at the dealership said you'll need a new unit and others will say just reset the code...
