Hfl

Hi,

I've recently bought Acura TL 2006 with Navi.

I'am unable to pair my phone to HFL,because talk button doesn't work. When I push it,no beep signal comes.

Any idea???

If you're using the HFL buttons facing the driver on the steering wheel, it may be a dead HFL.
Go to the MID and check the status of "HandsFreeLink"-- if it says "booting up," the HFL is likely dead.
You might try disconnecting the battery for a half hour to see if that unlocks/resets the HFL-- just make sure you have the Navi and Radio codes handy to reactivate them after reconnecting the battery.

If you're trying to use the buttons on the back side of the steering wheel for the HFL, those are for Navi voice commands.

Welcome to AZ, and G/L.

Congrats and welcome to AZ! You may want to register her at www.myacura.com. Save your Navi and radio codes there for safe keeping.

was this a private sale?
If not, take it back to dealer and have them fix it.

Hi Will,

Thanks for your reply.

Navi Voice commands works perfect.

When I go to MID HFL part and push select/reset button then it shows up booting up.

I have navi and radio codes with me.

If it shows "booting up" and never changes from that, the module is dead. Happened to mine.

I don't know why it wouldn't. I don't think anything changed on the HFL between those years.

Give it a code to see if you can unlock it.

The HFL can be set up with a password code.
Try the default codes suggested in the manual: 0-0-0-0 or 1-2-3-4, something like that.
