Help selecting LOC?

Looking for a little help guys. I have done a few systems myself in years past, but never on a car with 5.1 from thefactory. I have an 08 TL, and am in the process of adding a sub and amp for bass. Ihave everything all set,...accept, ....I have read so many conflicting things about this darn TL, and it's audio system/data signal pre amp/navi/BT microphones/noise cancelation mics, and so on, that I'm not sure what to use to tap into the sub output of the system, and get it right.

Is it possible to use one side of a simple high low converter on the sub leads,? or do I actually need something else? ,....Suggestions?

Thanks very much,...GRCRY,...>>>--->

hey bud..

i just recently did a sub/amp install in my 06 TL.. I used this LOC .. http://www.sourceoneaudio.com/index....OD&ProdID=6280

but it from a local shop here in arlington, tx. I just unplugged the wires from the sub.. and hooked up the LOC directly to the sub wires... this LOC has 6 wires I believe.. two brown ones.. two solid grays, and two grays with lines.. i just twisted both the solid color wires together.... twisted the other two wires with the lines on them together.. and connected it to the sub wires... the two brown wires were left alone.. didn't need them.. I am running an old 10" infinity 4ohm sub with an old kenwood ps300 amp bridged.. works perfect... i actually had to turn the amp down halfway cuz it was too loud.. i listened to the CD that originally came with the car to test the 5.1 to see if everything still worked like normal and yeap it did.. except the bass sounds so much better..

Thanks for the reply,..I went ahead and used the old Periferal unit I had. Just used one channel and all works as it should,..

12" Image Dynamics IDMax, Sealed, in a custom fiberglass enclosure I just finished. Running it with a Alpine PDX 1000 watt mono amp,...I have it cranked WAY down as well,..Sounds awesome!!! Wife is very happy,..
Thanks much,...>>>--->
