HELP - Electical system gone haywire

Was hoping someone could help me out. I started installing my new sound system yesterday and ran into a problem. At this point, all that I have done is put new speakers in the doors and put in new tweeters. I ran the wiring into the cabin and left them unconnected as I haven't started wiring my amps yet. So, I technically haven't done anything to the stock system other than disconnect the old OEM speakers. Once I got the driver's side door panel reconnected and mounted, I noticed that my keyless remote no longer worked. I checked all of my fuses and everything was good there.

So....I checked out the thread on reprogramming your remotes. It's an old one that Ron posted where you do the on/ press lock/ off deal several times. When I got to through the sequence, that is when all hell broke loose. All of a sudden, my AC/radio display no longer lights up and the AC comes on at full blast in defrost mode and wont turn off. None of the AC or radio buttons work. In addition, the interior lights won't come on. Everything in the doors work fine (power windows, locks, seat memory). I completely disonnected the battery to see if that would reset it, but no dice. I went back and checked all fuses again and everything is fine.

Could it be a relay or something else that I am missing?

i ran into some random issues too when I ran my speaker wire through my doors.

I found that it was the molex connections at the door. make sure you did not pinch anything and that they are completely connected together. Check that and see if that helps at all.

Were you ever able to figure out the issue? I'm having similar problems now and was trying to figure out if it's a fuse or relay that went out. Thanks!

I was able to fix my issue...ended up being fuse number 7 labeled backup. It's a 7.5amp fuse, so replaced that and everything is good to go.
