Grab Input from HU or Rears?
I just bought a 2 channel amp for my JBL comp set up front and have a 12" on a mono in the back. As it stands, the cheap LOC is taking the input from the rears for my sub. I also purchased an AudioControl LC7i to serve as my LOC for the channels for the mono and 2 channel amp. I did a little reading on here and it looks like the HU output is low level and not equalized while the output of the factory amp is just the opposite. For the cleaner signal, is it best to just bypass the factory amp altogether and avoid the EQ and what not? I won't be running a line driver btw but the LC7i is said to act as a partial one. The LOC also has an internal signal summing feature that can be used, if you know anything about it, let me know if it would be beneficial.

It looks to me like your lc7i unit is made to work with high level input and nothing else. Given that and assuming you want to continue with it, use the speaker wires.
If you want the best sound using the stock head unit, drop the lc7i and get an amplifier or line driver which accepts differential-balanced inputs from the head unit. This makes probably the biggest differemce on the sub channel because you will get a big boost in clarity/realism using the head units preamp signal.

Thanks for the heads up, before I tried to go with low level input!
