Geez. If its not one thing, its another..
Seems like everyday is a new battle with this 6 year old car. Anyway...
Last week I went to use the voice control to change the fan speed as I had a drink in my right hand and my left hand on the steering wheel (yeah I'm lazy, but that's what the voice commands are for). My car basically said "f you" to my command and screeched back at me. So my voice control isn't working. Next up I go to use the navi and the lady's voice suddenly became MUCH more realistic if you know what I mean...the same, awful screeching noise. Below are two videos demonstrating what I'm talking about. I recommend turning your volume down a bit unless you want your eardrums to bleed.

I went into the diagnostics screen of the navi and there are a few issues. Here's a pic.
So does anyone have any insight on this situation? During the winter, my navi takes a few minutes to boot. I was going to send my control unit to Alpine for repairs, but the issue seemed to stop when the weather outside was >60 degrees. I'm wondering if these two things are related. Anyone else have this problem?
Anyway, your help is greatly appreciated!

I didn't mean to do either intentionally or with any other meaning. Wow...what are the chances.
But I'm afraid that's looking like what I'm going to have to do. Ugh.
