Fixed vibratig sterio noise
Hi,
Sorry if this has already been addressed but I wanted to share a fix to an anoying problem I had with my 05 TL AT.
When hitting certain base notes I would get a buzz (Ie. Track 3 on Moby's Play). I thought I blew the sub or maybe the back shelf was buzzing.
I took it to the dealership and it turns out it was one of the rear deck lid screws was too long and it would rest on the trunk springs. When the vibration hit a certain frequency it would make this noise. They just pulled the screw and replaced it with a slightly shorter one. Problem solved. Thanks Acura of Boston.
Hope this helps someone.

I have this problem a lot with some R&B songs... I tried insulating the deck with sound deadening material, put foam all around the subwoofer speaker flange, but nothing worked. It was the third seat belt that caused the rattling, but nothing I did could stop it from vibrating. That's just the way it was designed.
I finally set the sub level down a little, and voila, that took care of it. It was in the middle, I lowered it to about 2 bars less.

I am not 100% certain where the deck lid screws are but rattles, etc. should be covered by yourwarranty and the dealership should take care of it. They will know where these screws are located (mine did). Have them call the service dept at Boston Acura located in Brighton MA.
I would hate to have to turn down my sub! Never !!!!!
