Finally pulled the trigger on some stero equipment but advice needed...

Hey Guys! I was thinking of doing the entire system last christmas but got fed up when I realized what I needed to spend. Well, this year, I have been a good boy so I decided to bite the bullet and do it.

OK, I went onto Woofersetc.com and ordered all my stuff....

Fronts-

CTX65CS - Image Dynamics 6.5" Component Speaker (thanks for the advice I Hate Cars)

Rears-

SPR-17C - Alpine 6.25" 2 Way 300 Watt Speakers

The amp??

Well, I heard these speakers I picked were power hungry so I needed an amp of 100 watts RMSX4 So I ordered....

MRP-F600 - Alpine V-Power Series 4-channel 600 Watt Amplifier

The guy called me when I was in the middle of a job to tell me that the Alpine amp is discontinued and they aren't making it any longer but he had another amp that is way under-rated and is really clean and powerful for what I am looking for.

It is a DCA-4100 - Cadence 1000 Watt 4 Ch Daytona Competition Amplifier

Has anyone heard of this amp or company?

After I got home from work, I looked this up and thought I wanted a name brand amp or something I have heard of. They already shipped my stuff out.

My question to the stereo gods is....Is cadence a good company and a clean amp? Is there another amp out there for that price range that will be a second pick? I am going to run a sub and amp later on and wanted to get two of the same amps. Should I return this amp and get something else?

I am a clean install kind of guy and want to show my amps. Alpine name would be great but Cadence? Not sure....Please give me some advice.

Get on the group buy of ZED over at diymobileaudio

right here............

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...group-buy.html

or buy ZAPCO

or

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...udio-amps.html

trust me send back the rear shelf alpine's, leave your stock speakers in there or don't run them at all, I'm taking a set of dynaudio 340 off my rear and just putting 2 8ohm scanspeaks in for a 10-20 fill and 5 channel when needed, the front stage is where you want to spend all your efforts, mine will soon be Dynaudio 170, Phass DTM25 mid, & PHASS dt25 tweeter, with a shit load of zapco amps and processor's

Jason and Busa...Ever heard of Cadence? Jason, I've red your thread and it's impressive.... Not in your legue but I am looking for clean sound and I do use all speakers for the DVD-A cds I have. I am going to need another amp to power a sub and the center channel. Thanks Bus, but I am going a different route than you.

Less is more? Care to explain? Cliff notes.

lol...

everyone and their DVD-A's...but everyone replaces everything in thier cars with out looking at the big picture...

cadence used to be ok stuff back in the day...nothing amazing...but decent...wouldn't recommend it do to the fact of their lack of support in the US...

Since I value your advice, what amp would you recommend? I am on a 300 dollar budget.

Cadence is meh...i'm more of a sundown guy, but their 100.4 is 569.

and yes, less is better. if you have a good front stage, you're really not going to hear the rear speakers anyways

also you get imaging issues, time delay issues if you want to get technical... more money, more power.. etc etc... once you hear a car with a great front stage, you'd understand
