Factory sub died, I think...
so out of no where my factory sub just stopped working. sometimes i think it plays really faintly but other than that nothing. it showed no sign of being weak and it didnt rattle. is there a fuse somewhere that could of blown or did the amp take a shit?

No fuse. Typically the amp in this case. Check all connections.

Passenger side kick just forward of the door. If its just the sub channel the rest would be good. Speakers typically do not fail as you have described.

Id say amp as well, but it seems a bit odd to have amp issues this early on
My 04 TL had the rear channels go quiet first, then the passenger side channel was almost non existant. All my music was essentially played through the 2 passenger side speakers. I would keep the volume the same, and mess with the balance. It would go almost completely quiet when played on the rear and on the passenger side. Also, I would have to turn up the music to 30-max to listen to it
Recently I swapped a TL Type-S amp into mine and it brought the sound system back to life. I actually surprised how much sound quality and volume I was missing out on. I now usually keep the volume set to 7-11 when im listening to music loud.
This may not be your issue at all, but figure some outside input might help.
