Editing 6 channel wav files

I have ripped the AC3 files from a concert dolby digital dvd that I have. I want to convert these files into a DVD-A disc. But first I want to edit these tracks to clean them up (eliminate talking and applause).

Does anyone know of a program that will allow you to edit all six channels at once and delete portions of the songs. All I have found are the typical sound editors for mp3 and wav files that will allow you to edit only two channels.

Thanks for your help. I have looked at WaveLab5 and it looks like it does what I want to do.....though it will take some time on how to use it. Right now I have been able to load all six channels for editing, but I have to edit each track seperately. Do you know of a way to edit all of the channels at one time? I am sorry for such a basic question but the program seems to be very complete and able to do everything when I am looking for only the basic functions.

Thanks for the advice and steering me to this program.

If you're editing the channels one at a time, you'll essentially be editing six mono files. The only thing that makes this tricky is that you need to note the exact sample frames of your edits. In other words, if you've cut track 1 down to 18345921 samples in length on one of the channels, you need to cut the other five channels to exactly 18345921 samples, too.

Audacity will do the six channel editing. The price is right. It's open source and free. It's not really made for this task, but it will work. There may be better ways to accomplish this, but I am getting there by starting with the menu command Project - Import Audio. You select all six files. To act on them in unison you have to shift select them. The only way I could figure out to get them saved out individually was to select one track at a time and use the menu command File - Export Selection as WAV.
