Easiest way to connect an aux jack

I've been reading thru endless posts about ways to add an mp3 player to the radio, but I can't seem to find the answer to my question exactly. First, I don't care one bit about the XM radio. I not signing up for it again. All I want to do is put an aux jack in the car for my non-Ipod mp3 player. What is the easiest way to do what I want? A detailed explanation would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help.

if you searched then you would have found something

here is what i did

go behind the radio, remove the white plug from the radio (it's the XM harness) find out which 4 wires are the audio feed (i forgot which ones they are) 2 are positive and 2 are negative. cut them in half. wire a jack to the wires that are going in to the harness, and tape up the ones going back to the XM unit. plug the white harness back into the radio. now whenever you press the XM button you will hear whatever you have plugged into the jack

Or if you don't want to possible void your warranty by doing this you can buy either the PIE x3 or blitzsafe aux adapter which will give you audio in. They both plug in right where the xm does, but you don't have to splice in wires.

Use a cassette adapter. I use it for my Nano, sounds pretty good.
