Cool DVD Unit

I have a non-navi 04 TL. I want to put a navi in it, but I ordered the navi screen but I don't have yet the DVD player unit. It's hard to find one for a good price. If anyone has the dvd unit that they selling or they don't want. please contact me here feballer4sure@gmail.com. thanks

Hi and welcome to the fourms. There is a wealth of info here, so I suggest you use the search function. The navi conversion is possible, but its involved and just more than a screen and dvd player. You have to buy the antenna, wire-harnesses, steering wheel buttons, mics, etc. You can buy a whole kit on ebay for about 1200-2000, sellers name is acuratech or hondatech. Like I said before, pretty involved and you have to know your electronics and rewiring harnesses pretty well.

I wonder where power is coming from to the nav screen. Because my car is a non-navi tl. I want to test the wires to find out where i can get power. Or the display power would have to come from the dvd unit from the trunk?

all of that comes from the navi drive. The harnesses are different from the navi TL to the non-navi, so it isn't a simple plug and play deal

I just had the navtool and a dvd player installed in my 2005 Acura Rl. Circuit City will do the install for $108.00. That was the best deal I could find and their work is guaranteed. I highly recommend Circuit City for the install. Works great!!!!!!
