DVD-A Issues

DVD-A Issues
I have been trying to burn some 24 bit music DVD-A's from downloaded torrents, however when I go to play them in my TL, each song plays for about 10 seconds, and then I get the error message "DVDA Format".
Any ideas on what may be the problem? Here are the steps/info on how I made the DVD-A:
- Downloaded 24 bit flac albums via torrent.
- Burned using DVDA burn function of the program "Burn" on a Mac (using the flac files)
- Using DVD-R........should I be using DVD+R?
The 10 seconds of music of each song is incredible, I am so happy that the TL has the ability to play this quality of music, however I would prefer to listen to the entire song.
All help/ideas would be much appreciated!

^^^^Hmm...I'm not really sure. They are just .flac files that were downloaded via torrent. How would I burn .iso files onto DVD-A? Could I convert the flac files into iso's?

Doesn't work like that.
They have to be authored in DVD-A format. You need something like Cirlinca Solo, Disk Welder, Wave Lab, etc. to get the format right.
You'd drop the .flac files into the authoring program. Cirlinca (iirc) splits them to 6-channel; Wave Lab you have to do it yourself (see the adobinizer). Then the authoring program will then convert to .iso and you burn the .iso.
Look up threads by Adobeman for more info.

^^Thanks for the info. I went ahead and downloaded the free trial for Cirlinca, but still had the same issue when attempting to play the dvd in the TL. Am I to assume that I downloaded watermarked files, and that my attempts to put them on dvd-a via Cirlinca are futile?
Is there any way to get tracks that are 24/96 or 5.1 that are not copy protected/watermarked? Or am I stuck having to find CD quality material and upsample it through Cirlinca?

If they're watermarked they'll play for 15 or 30 seconds and then go silent. It doesn't give a format error.
If you're getting a format error, it's something else.

I believe I read somewhere that Linn (makers of the legendary Linn Sondek LP12 turntable) also operate a high-rez download site.
I've never tried either.
