Downloadable DVD-A creation shell scripts for Linux
I've been using Adobeman's DVD-A creation batch files in Windows for a while now, and they work really well. (Thanks, Adobeman!) But I'm trying to get away from Microsoft as much as possible these days, so I finally got off my lazy butt and worked out some shell scripts for Linux that duplicate the basic functions of Adobeman's Windows utility. I'm happy to share them.
I have one script that builds and burns a DVD-A from .wav files, and another that creates a random-play DVD-A from an Amarok-generated .m3u playlist.
You can download them here:
http://www.dwasifar.com/DVD-A_Linux.tar.gz
The tarball contains the scripts, a readme with instructions, a necessary configuration file, and the required dvda-author package (source code and a .deb file).
They should pretty much work on any Debian-based distro with little or no modification, and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be useful on other types of distro too, though I have only tested them in Ubuntu.
Please let me know if you find them useful.
