Dom's NavtoGo

Did a search asking for what adapter to use to put a backup camera on my 05 TL with nav and was told to use Dom's NavtoGo...

Where do I buy this and what exactly is it?

Thanks

google 'tv and nav 2 go'

it is an adapter that plugs into the navigation unit. It has 2 video inputs....one for video (PS2, dvd player) and the other for a rear view camera.

You will need to buy a harness...easiest is the plug and play.

OMG can't stop the music on their site how annoying!!

Nav 2 go

here's a PDF with some info.. what's that FM modulator they mention?
You'll still receive voice prompts from the navi correct? I assume this will work in an 08TL too.

If you only want the rear view camera you do not need fm mod.

Basically Dom's nav to tv unit is only for video.

If you want to add a dvd player to watch movies on your nav screen you will need another device that plugs into the factory cd changer aux port on the back of your head unit.

Something like this

http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzhonauxdmxv2.html

This allows you to add additional audio input to your factory deck.

Ohh and a member is selling a plug and play wire for dom's nav to tv in the black market.

well the 07-08 has an AUX input so you can probably use a RCA to 3.5mm cable and get audio working that way. But this won't apply to the OP since he's asking about an 05. There's also a PIE X3 as well as an alternative.

You can buy the Navtool (same thing as dom's) from a vendor on azine for a much lower price, as well one is for sale by wrxboy (sp?) in the blackmarket for a good price.

The navtool will give video, you will need to direct audio to the speakers. You can do this through numerous devices.

I suggest you use the:
DICE Unit
Peripheral Unit
USA-SPEC

all of them have AUX inputs and also Ipod compatibility so if you do ever get one or have one you can plug it in.

These adapters are almost the same price as the backup camera...that sucks and it might delay me doing it for a month or two. What is a good price for Dom's Navtogo?

somewhere from 175-250 is good for the dom's unit and navtool, PNP versions.
