Dom's Nav2Go Question
Had a quick question about Dom's Nav2Go.
On Dom's unit, two wires require 12V -
(1) The wire that actually plugs into the unit
(2) The blue wire that when it receives 12V it switches to the back-up camera.
My question was this: Does the wire that supplies power to the unit need to be constant, or switching?
I know the DVD player I'm hooking up needs both switching and constant, however I'm not sure on Dom's unit.
Please comment! I'd love to put this unit in tomorrow!
Thanks!

Use a switching for the power 12v line. And ya the reverse kinda speaks for itself hook it up to the reverse light.
I have mine hooked up to a fuse that switches on with ACC, pretty stupid since the navi screen is blank if I switch the key to radio, I must go all the way to acc for the screen to display stuff. Usually that's no big deal except it annoyse when I'm in the garage plotting an address in the navi.
Good luck with the install

Many thanks Phil. I'll be able to get this done tomorrow. I'm going to use the add-a-circuit to #32, run a wire down and just tap that wire for everything.
Also going to tap #39 for the constant power. I wonder if I should do a DIY?

No problem I'm glad I could help for once. I used the add a circuit too, plugged it in the top row 2nd from the right, icant remember the number right now but I think it's 29 or 31. The
top right most empty fuse slot is constant on if I remember correctly. But I think I'll move it to the sunroof fuse that way I think it'll be on with the radio.
Good luck with taking the car appart I bent an aluminum center console piece (not bad considering I thoughy navi system was going to rip out) and scratched the plastic at the base of the door when putting the rear seat back in.
