Does the MusicLink use the AUX in connection?
I have a 2007 TL equipped with the horrible Acura MusicLink cord.
I've accepted the fact that it won't work in the capacity that Acura had intended, but I'm curious about the AUX in jack found in the center console compartment underneath the armrest.
Does anyone know if the MusicLink is connected through this jack? Or, can I simply purchase a 1/8" stereo adapter and use that to plug my iPod in?
Will I have to have the MusicLink un-installed to use the AUX in jack?
Does anyone currently use the AUX in? What kind of sound quality does it produce?
Thanks!

And just in case someone asks the question, I have the MusicLink installed through my glovebox.
The AUX in jack is free as of this moment, but my question is just to understand if the MusicLink takes away the functionality of the AUX in.

no it does not, the Musiclink plugs into an external CD changer port in the back of the radio. your center AUX in should work

In regard to AUX vs. the Musiclink, I think sound quality can only be as good as the speakers that are available. I use the AUX input with my MP3 players; I don't really have any complaints.
