Question Does a hardwired FM Transmitter sound good?

I am thinking of getting an FM Transmitter Hardwired to my stereo. How well does the hardwired fm transmitter work? Do you get any interference with it being hardwired? Does the sound quality sound good compared to kits like Dice etc?

Sorry for the dumb questions but I have never had one of these installed before.

the hardwired FM Transmitter works very well....I installed one for my Sirius.
I have no interference when it is being used. It sounds better/clearer than regular FM radio.

It is tied into the existing antenna connection on your radio. If you search the forums you'll find detailed instructions. It is well worth it.

How much would that hard wired FM transmitter cost you? I have not heard one but I would suspect that it would not be all that great. If it was me (I did this) I would get the USA-Spec adaptor for the ipod and have GREAT sound and steering wheel controls.

I am told it is $170 installed for the Hardwired FM transmitter. What is the cost of the USA-Spec kit?

150 shipped and you can do the install yourself, it takes only 1 hour to do in your garage or driveway at the most for an inexperienced person.

WAY BETTER! Get that, you wont regret it. If you have questions just search for USA-Spec and there will be several threads on it. Plus like I said you get the steering wheel controls and it is CD quality sound. To me hat is a no brainer, I put the USA-spec in my car and is one of the best things I have done to my TL.
