Does the Blackberry 7290 work with TL Bluetooth
I just got the new 7290, and want to know if it works with a TL. I will not get it tell next week, and hoping to buy a car this weekend.

You can only dial or call numbers stored in your cars phonebook. The other features are battery indicator and signal strength meter.
I use a Motorola HS810 headset and it works great. Very small and the battery lasts forever.

Any ideas why caller ID isn't passed from my BB? I tried a SE 637 and it worked fine.

Just upgraded to 7290, also. I have to hit a key on the 7290 everytime I start the car to agree to the blackberry link. I assume that I just need to change a setting. Anyone figure this out that can save me some r&d time?
Thanks

I just switched from the Motorola v600 to the Blackberry 7290. Both work well with the TL's HFL. With the bberry, I now get a battery strength indicator. One curious quirk, however. After much fiddling, I recorded sufficient PAUSES in my TL Phonebook to get my office voicemail without having to "send" further numbers. The bberry is a different story. I've tried many difference PAUSE sequences, and the Phonebook always clips the last two zero digits from my mailbox. I do not have this problem when I dial directly from the bberry. It only happens when using the HFL feature.

Blackberry 7290
Just got one myself. Replaced a Moto v505. The caller ID works, but shows a strange "_129" after the number (ie 3129046315_129). I can live with it, but it is strange.
Favorite feature is the transfer to headset feature. During a call, you can click the wheel and actually see "transfer to HFlink". I couldn't do this with the Moto.
Another issue, I use the security password (if I loose the phone, there is way to much personal data in there). You cannot make a call from HFlink if the Blackberry is locked. It tries to call and nothing happens.

I don't know if the 7290 model number is exclusive or not, but is that the Nextel version? Are you experiencing any "echo" problems? Mine works fine, with caller ID (& the ..129 issue), but my voice echos and so I don't even use it....
**nevermind - the 7520 is the Nextel version**
