considering buying a TL, navi questions...
I did a test drive in a 07 TL-S with the Navi and thought it was pretty amazing the way it integrates voice commands with everything in the car.
(although it was funny wqatching the saleman go "defroster on.... defroster on... defroster on...." till I reached out and turned it on for him)
But unfortunately I can affrod the S-type.... Im now looking at a couple 2007's with NO navigation.
My questions are:
1. does the non-navi still have voice control for say, telling it to turn to "XM channel 1" etc. ?
2. Would you reccomend waiting for a navi car?
3. Is there anyway to integrate aftermarket stereo/navi on a non navi car? I figure I could spend an extra grand aftermarket and have a bad@ss navi/bluetooth/dvd/etc. anyway.
4.Is there anyway to play DVD's? I have a 3 yr old who loved my current cars DVD player!
Thanks for any help or tips!

1. No
2. Yes
3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...fAudioQ5fVideo
4. Why would you want to play movies while driving? I'd want to mount screens in the headrests for the backseat passenger(s). Then again see my answer # 3.
The best part of getting the Navi is tht you'd never be amongst the 10's of thousands out there who didn't get it that wound up banging their heads into the wall afterwards wishing they had. That Navi screen is the heart of the interior.
Good luck............

I bought an 04 without nav and as DMZ stated..... I have been pounding my head into the wall ever since I have had the aftermarket double din kenwood with the DVD, Nav and ipod integration and it's nice but you would have to get really creative on the install!! Do a search of the forum and you'll see that there really isn't a clean way to install it and maintain the high dollar look the TL is suppost to have!! Best of luck!!

thanks guys,
So from what i gather, the stock deck only plays DVD audio, no movies.. and Ill have to add an aftermarket headrest system anyway for that, right?
The non-navi TL can be made a Navi one with that ebay kit (awesome link by the way, thanks) which is going to be around 1500+ by the time you get it in.
Yes?

I highly recommend waiting for one with Navi. Way cheaper to buy it already installed than to have it installed after the fact. Plus the dash looks much better with Nav.
