Connect aftermarket XM radio to OEM antenna

I have an '08 TL Tech, and want to install my aftermarket XM SkyFi dock to use the existing OEM antenna on the roof.
I have searched Acurazine on and off for months, looking for how to do this, to no avail.
Can I disconnect the antenna at the back of the in-dash unit and run this to my SkyFi dock? What about the module mounted to the left side of the trunk? Or maybe the antenna pod itself, accessible by removing the lights over the back seats?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I got this done, finally... spliced my old antenna wire into the wire from the stock antenna after disconnecting it from the XM module in the trunk. The key is to solder the antenna wire, tape it up with electrical tape, then solder the ground wire it is wrapped in.
