Code/Message on Display

I recently replaced my battery n my 04 TL. Now I'm getting a code or error message that appears on the cd/radio display. How do I clear or reset this?

Just look in your leather case that came with your car that has the instructional manual. You should find the Nav and Radio security codes. Each time you replace the battery you have to retype the codes. It's to prevent theft of the system. If you don't have it just call your dealership and they will give it to you.

Okay, I did locate my security code but now that I've entered the code, 'erre" is displayed on the screen. I've entered the code numerous times but this doesn't seem to clear anything. Now what?
