Car audio options
Hi please help me decide between stock hu with isimple adaptor or a complete new system from head unit back to a single 12" sub with amps and new mids and highs.Ive heard its a pain to install any kind of aftermarket hu in this car.
Hey the type of car might help, 2006 TL non-navi.I do like bass but if its going to be a pain to transform im probably going to stay stock with isimple.

Since you don't have the integrated nav it is a lot simpler to install an aftermarket HU. If you are up for the fairly straightforward trim fabrication you will have to do (there are no aftermarket trim kits for the 3rd gen TL) then you will be able to get exactly the HU that you want with exactly the features you want. Search for the aftermarket HUs that other members have installed.

I would do an aftermarket HU if you don't have navi. The only thing that you will miss out on is the bluetooth hands free, but most good aftermarket HU has that.
There are literally a thousand options for speakers, amps and subs. Have you had any setups before that you liked?
Yes, you will need a budget and whether install is included in that cost.
