Can't transfer calls too and from iphone to car?
I am not sure what is going on, but I can have the car answer the calls, and I can dial them. But when I need to transfer it back to the phone or back to the car, it won't do it. I can manually press the iphone button on the phone itself and it goes there, but won't go back to the car no matter what I press or say.
Anyone know if this is a common issue? This is in my TL-S. Thanks.

Pimpin, the iPhone is alittle finicky. If I dial a call on my iPhone or am on a call on my iPhone, you can press the HFL button on the steering wheel and say "Transfer". It takes it a second or two, but it will transfer your call. The key is that you have to already be on the call. You can't transfer it to the car while it's dialing.

Wow guys-sorry about that. Mine works very well. Actually, I used to have a Treo before I got my iPhone. I could hit the button and say "Transfer" while the phone was dialing. I could hear it dialing thru the speakers. But the iPhone won't do that, which really sucks.

What about dialing? If I start calling from the iphone, I have to wait for the call is connected before I can transfer it to the HFL ie I can transfer the phone while dialing, is this an iphone issue or a feature of the HFL? I would assume iphone since I can call out through the HFL and hear it ringing.

Have you found a way to get this fixed? I have the same issue on mine and running 3GS iOS4
If I start a call from the phone and try to switch by pressing HFL, it simply does nothing...but if I'm on the HFL and wan't to switch on the iPhone it works....kind of sucks since I don't want to enter ALL my contacts one by one in my HFL phonebook...should be a way to import all contacts like in the navi ....
:P let me know if you got a solution or workaround !

Vmt, you have to say "Transfer" and your ongoing call will move to the HFL. If you hit the INFO button, you can download your entire phonebook into the car's computer navigation system. You can then dial any number from your phonebook in the phone via the touchscreen/Nav System.
But if you want to be able to dial a specific phone number from the HFL, you'll have to set it up in the HFL system. For example, you can say, "Home", then enter your home phone number into the system. Then you can press the HFL and say, "Call Home", which will then dial your home phone number.
