Canadian 07/08 TL-S & iSimple: Anyone get it to work?
 

Looking for any owner of a Canadian 07/08 TL-S that has a working iSimple PXAMG unit. How is it connected?

I have had a professional installer spend over 4 hours trying to get this to work. They have talked to both Travis from Gigharborautoworks and Tony from Peripheral - both eager to help but no success yet. We have tried both the PGHHD2 and PGHHD1 cables, different iPhone/iPod models and also two different PXAMG units.

Tony from Peripheral has offered to talk the installer through some "rewiring" that he thinks may work, but before this becomes a $1,000 iPhone connection I would like to see if ANY Canadian 07/08 TL-S owner has got this to work out of the box?

Keep me posted, I really want to get this thing to work. I did find one interesting thing though, I unplugged the xm cable from the harness and unplugged the pxamg box, started the car and then just plugged in the pxamg box with the ipod. I could hear the ipod working just fine. However once you hook everything back up it all stops again.

I think the problem is that the PXAMG box freezes up and can't divide the ipod and xm signals into 2 because once you remove one or the other it works fine.

anyone else?

Why would the ISimple give Canadian TL-S' any problem? It should be the same as the American ones?
