the work to integrate the factory navi far exceeds the difference you would have paid to get it at the factory. You can find the parts for around 2K on ebay, and then installation is about 10+ hours. It's not just the screen that needs to be place, the GPS antenna, dvd drive, wiring that runs through the car, etc.

I thought you could get it for cheaper... I thought I saw a recent one for $800 but it might have been for the 04-06 version. But I agree.. the work that one has to put into it.. looks extensive.. not to say it can't be done.

I'd recommend going with an aftermarket head unit with DVD playback and NAV all in one. Kenwood, Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse and others make some really nice units that will end up costing a lot less money and will be easier to install.
