Blackberry 8830 -- How Do I Get My '04 TL to Auto Recognize?

Just paired my Blackberry 8830 with my '04 TL. Went smoothly. When I had my Motorola E815, whenever I started up the car, the phone was automatically recognized and the little phone icon appeared above the nav screen.

Can't figure out how to do this with the 8830. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Do you have your 8830 configured to "Trust" your '04?

I have an 8830 and an '07 TL-S. The Acura is recognized by my BBY as HandsFreeLink TM (I never renamed it). In my 8830 The HandsFreeLink Device Properties (accessible from the menu button on the BBY when highlighting the HandsFreeLink) set Trusted to YES and save. Hopefully this will work for you. If not - it might be the way Bluetooth is implemented in the '04.

You need to make the HFL a trusted connection in the bluetooth device properties
