Blackberry 8700 - Acura TL not pairing
I can't for the life of me pair up my BB 8700 with my HFL. I does to other Bluetooth items but not my BB. What can I do. Do i need a updte on my BB?

i had to set my 8830 to always trust the connection from the tl. and once that was done then it would pair everytime the car and phone where in range of each other.

Set it to trust and also check your Cell provider's website to make sure you have the newest Blackberry OS

Not sure if you tried this, but you have to have both search for each other at the same time. That is how I got my blackberry to pair with the car. Normally if you have a bluetooth headset, you just have one look and the other be looked for. Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but it drove me crazy trying to figure that out.

I have the latest software version ( firmware ) on the BB, I tried pairing them up at the same time no luck. I seems that the HFL doesn't see the BB. do you think it may be in compatable can I upgrade my Bluetooth verssion on my BB?

That would probably take you in the wrong direction, I have an older 8320, if anything the software on the BB is too new for the HFL. I'll go delete it and re add, making note of each step and let you know exactly how it worked. Then we'll know for sure if there is an issue with your particular device.

I have a BB bold and I've been successful.
Once you have told the TL to pair, you need to go into your blackberry settings for bluetooth and tell it to "add device" from the menu.
Did you do this?
Mind you the voice memo stops working once connected via bluetooth.

Bluetooth on my 8700r is enabled and searchable is on. I go through the set up on the TL ... Phone Setup, Pair, 1234, and it starts searching..... I then go to my BB and click add divice and it starts searching. and comes back with nothing found seach again? I hit yes and again nothing.
I was able to connect the Handsfree to my nephews LG phone no problem.
it has something to do with the 8700...
