Avelectronics help

I bought the "brain" plug and play setup with the s-video. I also bought the single dvd player they offer (not on the website) and installed that.. I had no clue that this "brain" thing does not cover audio. I called the company and they said most people tap into the XM audio. They emailed me a schematic on how to tap into it and everything was pretty simple. After installing it I notice my XM is about half the volume now, on top of the DVD's I play I dont get the volume I should. Did anyone do something else for audio? Or if you did do the XM thing, do you notice the huge volume difference?

I was pretty upset to learn that after spending $575 for a unit that it doesn't even take care of the audio.. I figured that would have been all part of the "plug and play".

Yes but yours is not plug and play. Right now I am leasing the unit, so I wanted to go with minimal cutting and splicing in the car.

Do you have the navi or non-navi?

On the non-navi, which radio harness contains the XM-input? What color wires (L & R) feed the XM into the OEM head unit?

Thanks,
Alan

vsokolov...do you have something like an installation/operating manual for your plug-and-play setup so that we can see how difficult it is to install, also to see how you switch between inputs etc?

Thanks

Graham
