Audio Problem
Greetings fellow Acuraites,
So I have a new 05 TL, with about 200 miles on it, I go to take it out for a ride the other day, turn on the radio, and I hear a clicking noise. The noise sounded like static, so I turn the radio off and then back on again, and it appears that sound is only coming out of the left speakers.
I turn the radio off again, and shut off the car, restart the car, and now no radio, no AM, no FM or no XM. I checked the fuse and it appears fine. Obviously, I already have an appointment with the dealer, but I thought I would ask all of you fine people if you might have any idea what the problem might be.
I'm quite bummed, as it's not too much fun cruising around in the car without the stereo.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Does the radio appear to be working(on the navi screen?). From clicking to no sound it sounds like a loose connection which finally fell all the way out. My guess would be the connection was coming from the source to the amplifier.

Yes, the FM/XM stations do display on the nav screen and on screen where the clock appears, I can also see the volume control working when I use the volume control knob.
Do you think it would be easy for me to identify this loose connection, or should I let the dealer address it?
Thanks for your comment.

Update on the audio problem for reference purposes. I was scheduled to take the car to the dealer today, I had not used it for a few day, hey no tunes, no drive. Any ways, I start the car, turn the radio on, and by damn it is working, as is the XM.
I still take it to the dealer, pull into the dealers lot, with the car running, I turn off the radio, and then turn it back on, bingo, the same problem I had previously, clicking noise, and then it sounds like only the left channel is playing.
Dealer called me and said the amplifier is the problem, he'll have a replacment tomorrow. We shall see.

So here it is Thursday, and I still don't have my car. Turns out that changing the amp didn't fix the problem, so the dealer needed to order a new radio. I was told today that I should have the car tomorrow.
Car goes in shop on Monday, and it's end of day Thursday, no car, no radio, still waiting.
Should the dealer throw me some type of bone for waiting so long, cause I already feel like I am getting the bone!
