Atlanta referal
I am interested in doing the DVD conversion to my Navi on my 2007 TL. I do not possess the skills to do this myself. Can anyone recommend a shop in Atlanta that can make this happen? Has anyone had a shop do this for them in the Atlanta area? What is the approximate cost?
Thanks

Sound Sensations off of hwy41/cobb parkway have always done a great job with my cars, ask for Brian...it might cost you a little more than a local shop, but they know what their doing...which is alway a good thing. my guess is that it would cost aruond $400.

i havent had anything done there on my TL except for window tint, they did a hell of a job on my Grand Cherokee though... i would think that price would include the player, i had talked to another shop about doing the DVD conversion and $400 is the price they quoted me,that shop was called Audio Trix in East Cobb.

[QUOTE=dan.....k]I got everything done at once. So I really can't tell you how much that would cost. As far as shops go, MB1 does the best work in the area. Melvin should give you a good price. Take a look at the box they built for me:
Thanks dan k. I'll check them out. Nice setup.

Yeah, he's the man. ITL has helped me out numerous times. Actually his prices would be a lot better than MB1's. And his work is just as good.

If dan.....k is recommending a shop, I'd definitely trust it. He's had a LOT of work done around town and won't settle for anything less than the best.
dan....k and alpha, thanks for the good words. I found this thread after Mick contacted me.
Henryk, I got a new phone recently and lost your number. Text it to me when you get a chance.

Not trying to talk sh*t here but...I'm in the market to have an amp installed to power a jl8w3 I'm putting in. I called around to see who would install for the cheapest. Sound senations was by far the most expensive. Most shops said they would do around 100 for the install. Sound sensations said 200! The source audio which is on roswell road is the cheapest so far at 90.

I'm surprised you got a verbal quote at all from anyone who does professional installations. Perhaps the $200 was was intended to send you elsewhere

I personally had a bad experience at sound sensations when I went there three years ago. It just depends on who you get to do the work.
I had new speakers and amp installed there on my bmw and after 6 months, it started to crackle and no sound would come out from one side whenever I went over a speed bump. I took it back to sound sensation over three times and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They blamed it on my stock amplifier and even after taking it out, it still did the same thing.
I've heard other people that had a great experience there, that's why the place is always so busy but I personally won't go there. I ended up having the entire audio system redone at cartunes on Roswell road.

Well I had my system installed in my old car at hifi-buys and had work done at circuit city paid top dollar and terrible experiences...so like somebody already said it depends on the person working on your car and how much they respect your vehicle and take their time.
