I have always had some extensive after market audio installed in my car. I have done nothing with this car as of yet. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the stock system...especially the surround sound. If I improve on anything I was thinking of a more powerful amplifier....but it seems to be very hard to find 5.1 surround amplifiers for a car audio application. Has anyone added subwoofers or replaced the factory speakers ? I doubt I will replace the head unit as it looks like that would take quite a bit of customization. I would appreciate hearing about any of your success stories regarding car audio and the Acura TL. Thanks !

There are also several threads about turning the navi into a dvd player (if you have nav that is) and there are threads on integrating an MP3 player (true direct integration only works with non-navi as of now... at least thats the last I have read)

One thing I would like to do is replace the stock speakers with a full set of Boston Acoustics. But here is what I fear. Most aftermarket speakers are not nearly as efficient as stock speakers. I am afraid that the stock amp doesn't not have enough power to drive the BA's. Has anyone installed aftermarket speakers and still used the stock amp ?
