i have a 2008 acura tl and i need a navigation update that covers at least 2012 and so on, is there a site or a place with detailed instructions on how to update my navigation to the latest map without paying? the prices seem a bit steep

because an updated disc wont bring anything new to the table. yes, maybe some updated POI's but that's about it.

<---------2006 TL with Factory Nav disc and I dont give a fuck about the nav because its pretty pointless.
the hard ware is from 2003. no amount of software updates will make it better.

Im actually swapping in a tablet (nexus 7 2013) here shortly.
this will give me access to Music, movies, GPS (google maps) and EVERYTHING I COULD EVER want in a head unit

POI's are about the only thing a new disc offers. Over 5 years, I'd probably spring for a new disc. Now if they just redid the routing algorithms, I'd gladly buy a new disc. But since they haven't, I'll save my money since I already have the 2012 disc anyway.

Kinda figured it out, and THATS why i asked if anyone has a link for the map update aha really sucks just that it can't even recognize my own home address as a street ...
