An annoying buzz coming from one of the rear speakers

Even when the audio system is off. Getting annoying buzz when I just want quiet. Is My Power Amp Ready for Capacitor Replacement, or do I have a speaker going bad?

This enquiring mind wants to know!

Bad speaker doesn't make sound when there is no input. Either bad HU or bad amp.

HU?

No sound if there's no input is already blatantly obvious. I was curious if it might be the speaker itself.

You stated it buzzes even with the radio off. Therefore no input and you are getting a buzz, it is electronic and therefore the head unit or the amp. The speaker itself won't make a buzz unless it is being sent a buzz'ing signal.

I'm not really catching a buzz! That's the problem! Now once legalization becomes complete ...........

I just finished replacing all my amp's capacitors, and all I can say is WOW! No more buzzing coming from the speakiz and I can crank up Jimi Hendrix to concert hall pitch (volume) just like I used to do with this car. Even Howard Stern's belches and farts sound alive again!

All parts supplied by Wayne Electronics, Pompton Plains, NJ - $28

What are you waiting for? It also restores original fidelity as well as volume.

I already bought an '07 amp off of ebay so it is functional again. Oh yeah, I'm also lazy as well as have two young kids who pretty much kill any chance of doing anything with a soldering iron safely.
