Amp mounting in trunk

Does anyone have pics of how they mounted there amps in the trunk. I am trying to mount mine to the rear seat in the trunk but need to put a board in there first and am not sure how to mount it. I will cut a slot for the pass through. I am trying to mount it as far forward as possible. Thanks for any help.

There are 2 diagonal metal crossbeams behind the rear seat. You can bolt the amp rack to this. Remove the reat seat and pull trunk carpet back to expose them. Check out Princelybug's audio install. That's how we mounted his amps

To bad you're in buffalo.

I could do it for you in one weekend.

I'll try to do a write up and add some pics.

Or you can PM me in the meantime.

I found these from Princelybugs install. I used cardboard and heavy duty shears to make a template first before I started cutting wood. I may still have the cardboard template lying around somewhere in my garage

Very nice. I would hire you for sure. I was thinking for my needs though of using one side that may not take up that much space. I have a

Yep that's what I did. Make a template out of cardboard. I got my board all ready to mount in the trunk. I just need to rip out the back seat. I've done it before and it sucks....

I just took a look at my trunk. Anyone have pics of the board ageist the rear seat installed and completed idea or different options on this topic or mounting amps in the trunk? I thought/like the board ageist rear seat....but can't picture it done with the way the trunk looks and with all the stuff I have to mount (amp and two kinds of Clean Sweeps)

It's bolted on to the metal frame supports that are behind the back seat.

Not at all. They're right there after you remove the back seats.

Hope you don't mind all my Q's. Do you have the instructions on how to remove the rear seat? I thought I could find them and do the install with out removing the seat.

Nope. Back seat removal is a requirement. I don't have the instructions, but check here, you might be able to find it:

Prince where did you get the grey carpet for the board. I could only find a light grey and black. I chose black. It doesn't look to bad.

The pdx's never really get that hot and they are made to be stacked. The other amp ran the center channel and rears, and it ran cooler than the pdx's. I suppose if you are running them really hard, they might get warm. I went on many long road trips and never had any issues. I have done a few other tl installs just like this, and I have never heard back with them having any issues. I let you know when I hear something.

Nice install with the pdx. I've been toying with where I want to install mine and I haven't even thought of this yet. I like it
