Angry Always Asking For Navi Code?

I have an 08 TL-S and only today i have been noticing as the car has been sitting for a period of time (not exactly sure how much) upon start up the navigation portion of the system asks for the code before booting up?!?! Keep in mind the battery was never disconnected...Has anyone had this issue before? I have never hooked anything up to the navi except for the silverline way back in december which i uninstalled a couple days after...Again the problem has only commenced as of today and its happened three times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The navi dvd drive is loosing power, I would suspect it to be a bad dvd unit. Take it to your dealer to have it replaced, the drive is 2K alone.

Thanks, i do have a sound system but my amp is less than 25%! No weak starts, however i'm going to check the battery with the voltmeter. Just called the dealer and booked it in, i hope they don't try to blame this on my sound system:@.

Thanks again for your help!

^ They will blame your amp, just for your self reassurance, disconnect the amp from your battery...and then see if everything will start fine.

On my 06 i ran the amp for three years and no problems with the nav...The majority think its the battery in which case if it is i'll pay for a heavy duty one with more amps. Otherwise if the battery seems to be pumping out 14 volts under a full load then its probably a faulty dvd drive.

Do you guys think they can logically inetertwine my sound system to the nav not functioning properly, if infact the battery is functioning accordingly?

Dealership like hard green cash. They don't like warranty work. Thus, they will seek any excuse possible to void the warranty.

Always try to bring the car as much stock as possible to the dealership for work.
