There are 4 options that you can go with:

1. Tom-tom/Garmin navi that mounts to your windshield:
It doesn't look the best on the inside of the TL, however it is accurate, cheap and easy to update.

2. Aftermarket Navi System:
A system such as the Pioneer Avic systems will provide great functionality, great audio system expandability and as well a great navi system. However no faceplates/mounting kits exist so custom is the way to go. As well then you have the non-functional info screen above the radio which you'll need to keep in order for your HVAC to work.

3. Factory Navi System:
One of the best routes to go with, the car will integrate perfectly with the navi system, HFL though the navi, audio + steering wheel controls from the navi, no warranty issues and as well it's been tested to work for a long time! Cons are that it's expensive to retrofit, nearly 3K including labor from ebay parts.

4. Carputer:
Probably one of the best things to do, its very involved though. You remove the stock screen and relocate it to the bottom 2 carbon fiber compartments. Then you put in an aftermarket touch-screen in the factory screen location, hook it up to a carpc running a front end software such as Road Runner. You hook up the audio connections and you are done! It's moderate in price, however very involved. Check out KingOfPain's carputer thread here on acurazine.

The easiest thing to do is go with an aftermarket unit.

Will a nav unit from a different tl have a different security code from the radio?

Anyone have a cheaper source for the wire harnesses?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acura...item3358b5cb6d

$500 just for the harness is crazy. Ya Ya I know a dealer /stealer charges allot more. Just look at what it is though. No way is $500 a fair mark up on that. If we can find a source for the connectors and some one was kind enough to share the pin outs and connections with how long each part of the harness is we could make our own.
