i have a 2gen tl-s....i have a kenwood 815 dvd. they make a single din kit for mine. as for yours i dunno. they did mount my "brain" under the passenger seat. on top of the carpet though. im in the process of redoing my whole stereo and im gonna mount it to the brackets on the back of the rear seats(can see from inside the trunk)....harder to steal that way.

Where are you going to put this flip out, where the navi screen/information display is or where the radio is? Both ways, you are going to need a custom dash kit, that doesn't suit the car due to the two radio adjustment knobs that cut into the silver trim, and also you will end up disabling the HFL unit, as it is controlled by the Radio and display screen, and also you will loose A/C if you decide to get rid of the information screen.

I know about the HFL, but it sucks anyway, its all stacticy. Im just gonna buy a seperate device for the bluetooth. I dont think I will need to go as far as the AC controls and all. THe shop said they would make a costom dash kit and it will fill in the holes for the existing radio knobs. also, I know that the wires are not long enough to go from the dash all the way to the trunk for the brain box. Help me out with some more ideas. Thanks.

just dont put the brain "inside' the dash.. tooo close to the engine = bad feedback

things are also pretty tight under these driver side seats....

as for a dash kit, you'll have to custom fab one. alot of members have done it.. search around

???

I've only seen 4 or 5 installs that all required weeks of work on here for a 3G TL. None of them are something a member without extensive custom install experience could easily manage on the first try. I think thats what he's looking for.
