Adding In Dash DVD Screen for a non-navi

I was thinking about taking out the factory headunit and adding this kenwood touchscreen double din in dash dvd player. b/c I have a non-navi and want to play movies. And this looks like the perfect unit for me b/c I want a factory look and this gives it b/c the screen will fit flush against the dash.

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2557

I was wondering if you guys think it would fit nicely in there. Also would I still be able to use the volume and channel buttons on the steering wheel? And I would have to switch to Sirius Satellite radio and was wondering if I could still use the factory XM Antenna? That would save so much trouble. And would this affect the HFL feature if I was to take out the factory headunit?

I just want to make sure everything will work fine before I dish out 1k for this unit and take everything out. Thanks.

AznSilverTL,

What do u plan to do with the original LCD screen. moahdib has done something like this...except he installed a carputer with 7" screen. But he displaced the LCD screen to the bottom. Check out the thread. Y dont you get a carputer instead of the DVD player if its not already too late?? Here is the thread...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...light=carputer

Good luck

Not totally sure but u might have to displace the LCD display to bottom part to install the 2-din kenwood unit. did u look at the carputer install by moahdib?
