Acura TL 04 Radio not working...

Hey, today I left the dome light on in my TL and my battery died. When I jumped the car I noticed the radio now needs some sort of unlock code (4 digits) to get it to work. I bought the car used and have had it for a couple of years now, never needed that code...don't have the original booklet, definatly dont have that code and the dealership I bought the car from no longer exists. What the hell do I do? How do I find that code?

Look in the glove box and see if there is a sticker with codes on it. If not, then the are sometimes written in the owners manual.

Supposedly you can register your car at acura.com and it will tell you the codes - I have not done this, so I don't know.

If you cannot find the code, then you are at the mercy of the dealership.

1) The radio and Navi(if applicable) codes were on a plastic business card with the paperwork for the car-- sometimes placed in the owner's manual case, sometimes in a flat plastic bag with the various transfer docs, warning and alert hang tags that came with the new car.
2) Dealers sometimes put the code card in the spare tire compartment with the cargo nets.
3) Techs often write the codes on a sticker placed in the glove box compartment.
4) Techs sometimes write the codes on a sticker placed on the underhood fuse box cover.
5) Otherwise, the owner will need the serial number of the radio and VIN to call Acura or a dealership to get the code by phone. The radio serial number supposedly can be obtained by pushing the preset numbers in a certain way (do a search for this); otherwise, the radio has to be pulled to get the serial #.

G/L.

Thanks guys, I figured out how to get the radio serial and I was able to do it on acura's website....I have no idea how they have my zip code on file considering I bought the car used and never changed the original purchase info but it gave me the code!
