+5V ground?

Don't feed the...WTF?
I'm seeing 5V for TPMS, ECU, and Speed sensors - but none of which are very accessible. What about something as simple as making your own 5v "hibernation switch" by using the power supply on the carputer itself, or hard wiring a universal adaptor, setting it to 5v, and using the ground? May not be very neat, but it could be tucked away behind a panel and you'll never really have to deal with it.

thank you I appreciate any input...let me be a little more clear. I have a m2-atx power supply and it needs a 5V supply of power in order to hibernate the pc...I think...coming out of the power pinout is a blue wire(amp remote turn on), black(ground), red(12v constant), white(switched/accesory power), Yellow(5V supply for dvd drive) and GREEN(5V ground wire)...

For my Car PC, I just tapped into battery for the constant wire (hibernate) and used fuse 32 for my power switch on.
