3G Acura TL - Aftermarket Amp & Sub Install - DIY Photo Guide

After countless hours of reading through this incredible forum, I was able to install a new aftermarket sub into my 2006 TL with Navi. I can't begin to cite all the helpful posts, but hopefully mine will help someone in the future.

Awesome post man! Looks like a clean install. I am actually going to be doing the same install with my box from uncald4. I had one question though. How did you secure the box to your car? Mostly thinking along the lines of anti-theft. I was thinking of drilling holes into the car but didn't know if that was a good idea, haha...

RxWorld: I'm by no means near an expert in this... but my concept of anti-theft in this case was eight (8) 1" self-tapping sheet metal screws through various locations. Just be really careful to memorize (or in my case, take a photo) of where all the lines / tubes run before you put your liner back in so you can dodge anything important... so far everything seems to still work

Good luck with your install! Let me know if you find any way to improve upon what I came up with.

No LOC or Hi/Low converter? where did you get the connectors to go into the amp speaker input side?

use the speaker level input on the amp and wire it to the + and - wires that runs to the factory subwoofer.

They are easily accessible from the trunk. you just have to pull the carpet liner down in the trunk.

I installed my sub and amp without removing any seats or rear deck
