3G '06 TL - Pairing Failure?

Greetings, I've had my 06 TL for nearly a year (bought used), to find that the HFL has unexpectedly failed to connect with my phone... As soon as I got into my car this morning, I found that it wasn't connected to my iPhone 3GS (Jailbroken, iOS4.3.3). It has been working all last week and before that. What I've tried so far: - Clearing ALL paired phones from the car (Apparently the dealership nor the previous owner did not do this, despite being told that all traces of the previous owner was wiped clean...) - Attempted to pair one other device (iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.3) with no luck. - All voice commands appear to work without issue. (Tested every option, except anything dealing with dialing of a number) Am I screwed into bringing this back to the dealership to have it looked at (and most likely have to shell out $600 to replace this?) or is it possible to do another diagnostic on the HFL without having to fruitlessly bring it in? Any advice is definitely appreciated.

Sorry to double post, but apparently my formatting failed... To be more specific with a certain point, I can get up to the point where my phone will be unable to see the HFL as a selectable device. Eventually, I get an error messaging saying that the process timed out, and no phone was found.

My HFL was replaced under warranty. A phone that wouldn't pair right with the old unit paired fine after the new one was installed.
I'm currently running a jailbroken iphone 3GS ,iOS 4.3.1 with no issues. You might have to have your unit replaced.

I have a '05 TL that just went past 100K miles this last weekend. Yesterday, I noticed that my iPhone 3GS (jailbroken 4.0 I think) was no longer being recognized. I have gone through the pairing mode 25 times only to get the same exact issue. It just wont find anything. I tried with my old iPhone to see if it was a winterboard/springboard issue holding something up within in my Jailbroken phone..and it wouldn't pair either. I'm getting a little freaked out right now, because I'm reading a lot of posts (here and otherwise) about people having this problem RIGHT after their warranty expires. I'm pissed off now because I can't spend 600-800 or whatever the cost is to have this stupid HFL unit replaced. So I feel ya...and I've tried resetting the HFL system (clear mode) to no avail. Hopefully someone can come up with some sort of Hardware reset that might help..

Jay

Not to hijack...but how do you "clear" the HFL? Mine doesn't want to pair either. I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to do lol. I've got an Ip4

Wait...soooo.....

Lol jk. It's that easy huh. I'll give it a try on my way home. Will it just automatically pair with the HFL if I turn my Bluetooth on on the IP4?
