Is it pretty easy to do a nav to a non nav conversion (stock stereo). Swap units & plug & play or there is a lot more to it?

Researched a few treads and only saw the non nav to nav but nothing else.



Why you ask?
Well in the market for a 2006 with low miles and MT, originally wanted w/o nav but might have to expand my horizons to one with nav. Don't really care about the nav because it's outdated, expensive to keep upgrading and more importantly if it goes south 2-3K to replace.

I think its not worth downgrading like that.... if you have the nav make the most out of it....if you still dont like it i think you can offer the trade with someone who doesnt have one on this forum that would love to do a trade with you..

Well if I do get one with nav, i would keep it the way it is. But if it breaks can I replace it with a non nav one without much headache or not really?

You can go from a navi to non navi, it is not that hard to swap since the harnesses are about the same just a quick wire change here and there. Now the only hard part is that the nav and the non nav both have an anti theft pw style. the best thing to do is call the dealership and get those numbers in case you do swap out to non nav. Also i am willing to do a swap if you would like as i am looking for a nav that is not ridiculously expensive.... Let me know what you think
