When I receive a text message on my Motorola bluetooth phone, HFL registers it as an incoming call with no CLID in the display and rings it over the speakers.

Is there any way to get it to stop doing this for text messages?

 

well... if you have the bluetooth headset it makes the sound on the headset when you have a text message...

I'm not sure if there is a solution

 

I have the same problem, but agree with mickeyflickymix's response... Maybe if you can turn off text message alerts on your phone? That may be the trick.

 

It's weird. I have a Motorola Razr V3 and sometimes my text messages act as calls and sometimes they don't.

 

I have the opposite problem. I get no noticfication when I recieve a text. Any way to turn this on? I'd gladly have it behave as a call. Right now, when paired, mine mutes the phones output. I have a Moto V3XX.

Mine too. 2007. Phone is a Sprint Katana II.

It took me a while to figure why the HFL would ring and then nobody was there.
