2004 TL CD/Cassette buttons not working
Hi everyone,
I've recently bought a 2004 TL for my work commute. The main console/dash seems to have issues with some of the buttons. First of all not all of them light up when I turn on headlights. However, most of them still work as far as getting a system response. Also, none of the CD and Cassette Player buttons work. Like zero response. When I cycle through the Audio Modes It goes through FM-AM-XM-FM. It is like if the car doesn't even sees CD and Cassette players. On top of that, the previous owner installed an iPod connector (Not sure what it connects to though) which comes out in a armrest console compartment. It had an old 30-pin connector, so I got a 30-pin to lightning adapter to connect it to my phone, but it doesn't seem to work. I would imagine I would have to switch to CD or Cassette to have it play through the stereo system, and these, again, don't work. Not sure what to look for in order to diagnose the problem with it. So if anyone who has had any experience troubleshooting such issues can give any useful advice I am all for it.
Thank you!

thanks DMZ
Im having issues with my radio. Intermittently, the sound quits and buttons and knobs on the radio unit itself are unresponsive. Although i can change inputs and channels via the navi screen when this happens but there is still no sound. I emailed the company you suggested above. Ill wait and see what they say about it. they also have gps/navi update discs at their website cd4car.com
