I swapped my free air sum in my 08 accord i had with a Kicker C8 8in free air sub. It sounded great on the 100rms amp.

Should be no problem to support it. Just remember that you are modifying / removing some of the structural rigidity of your vehicle (albeit not much). If you decide to do it, you will probably want to seal the top of the deck with some sound deadening material. Also, you will likely have to cut the bottom of the rear deck as well. Most 10" subs will be too deep to just fit in without additional cutting on the bottom.

The rear deck is not solid. I think that half of your potential gain would be lost in the rear deck flexing.

You might as well do a 12 or 15 free air behind the rear seat. To do even a 10" in the deck correctly you need to seal the trunk from the rear. Its less work and cutting to build a baffle behind the seat. I have a single 12" in this configuration and it sounds great and takes up very little trunk space.
