We have a ton of sound deadening material thru out our cars, so a drop in replacement or even the Basslink will not be much of an improvement. My suggestion is to go with one powered 12" sub in an inclosed box. That way if you listen to music from mild to wild, it will be tight and responsive vs boomy. Bear in mind that the type s uses the active noise canceling, so you'll have to disconnect the mics to prevent system hum. The install is really a cinch if you have any 12volt experience.
