Hi there, well for starters, i'm new at this so if this has already been asked, please don't get pissed off at me. I've got an 06 with a 6-speed but the prob. is as many of you must already know is that the 06 doesn't have xm capabilities, which sucks, so I have an aftermarket and it blows, my am alarm clock has better sound than that piece.

So my question is can a swap be done with a unit that has xm or are the harnesses totally different? Or even better yet, can a swap be done with an 07 model that plays mp3? Keeping in mind that my stock unit has no xm, oh and it is a navi unit as well, thanks!

Yes your car does have XM capabilities. No new hardware needed, other than an tuner. The only thing your car lacks is the logo on the headunit.

You should be able to swap out the headunit, but it's gonna gawd-damn expensive.

Ok, i'm kinda confused, you said that it does have xm despite the fact that it does not have the logo on the deck itself, but if it does, then why do I need to swap out the head unit? Wouldn't I just have to get the xm tuner located in the passenger kick panel and the rear mounted antenna and be done with it?

Sorry, if you wanted to swap out the headunit for the MP3 stuff, not for the XM.

Yes, you're right about the tuner and antenna.
